Apply Genius was created to make thoughtful college admissions guidance more accessible. Our first product brought personalized admissions support to students through an AI college admissions consultant. The app is temporarily offline while we work on what's next.

Our story

Personalized college admissions guidance should be within reach for every student.

Apply Genius began with a simple idea: talented students should be able to get thoughtful guidance through a complicated admissions process, even when a private counselor is out of reach.

Our founders—graduates of Harvard and Johns Hopkins—built Apply Genius to explore what technology could do to make high-quality admissions guidance available to more students and families.

The Apply Genius app was our first iteration of delivering quality admissions advice to all. We're now working on the next vehicle to democratize college admissions.

We're working on something new.

The Apply Genius app is temporarily offline while we work on a new way to support students. We aren't ready to share the details yet, but our next chapter will stay true to the same goal: making excellent guidance more accessible.

Anthony graduated from Harvard in 2022 and later worked at Boston Consulting Group, advising leading companies on strategy and operations. He had provided college admissions advice to ambitious high school students for years before co-founding Apply Genius.

Michael graduated from Harvard in 2022. He is a nationwide speaker and author and has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Business Insider, Money, and more. He co-founded Apply Genius to bring his college admissions knowledge to more students.

Sean Sebastian Darcy

Co-Founder & CTO

Sean graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering and is pursuing a PhD focused on human brain-machine interfaces at Caltech. He brought software development and AI expertise to Apply Genius.
